Hotend turns off in layer 3
Does anyone know why my hotend would be turning off in layer 3 every time? My first time using Prusa slicer, and everything works with ideamaker. I’m not seeing anything in g-code, but the hotend just stops heating at layer 3 and drops until I get a T0 error.

Doesn't sound like a slicer issue. But to be sure you could post your 3mf project file here. Need to zip compress it before attaching to a post we the forum software frowns upon unzipped 3mf files.

I couldn't figure out how to load the 3mf file but its just a calibration cube. It prints from the other slicer, but do understand that doesn't mean its the slicer. I don't see anything in the g-code.

Figure out how to upload after reading your post again.

Hi Mike,
Save the project as a .3mf file, then ZIP the .3mf file, and attatch the zipped file, using the attach file option at the bottom left of the text input screen

RE: Hotend turns off in layer 3
Hi Mike,
the slicer only shows two temperatures for the whole print,
Do you get a 'Thermal Runaway' Error on the third layer?
If you do, this will turn off the heater.
your slicer settings increase the part cooling fan speed on the 3rd layer, and that may be the cause of your issue

RE: Hotend turns off in layer 3
I don’t think I’m getting thermal runaway looking at the temps while printing, as soon as layer 3 starts the hotend temps drop at the same rates it would at the end of a print. But I was able to complete a 7+ hour print last night with another slicer.
RE: Hotend turns off in layer 3
That's Odd.
looking at the G code,
I only see the initial nozzle temperature, the change for layer 2 and the shut down at the end of the print.
