Hollowing
I have Prusa Slicer 2.4 but do not see the hollowing tool. How do I enable it?

RE: Hollowing
Thanks. Already looked at this and still do not have the hollowing tool option.
RE: Hollowing
Hollowing is only available for the sl1/resin printers (it does say SLA in those instructions you were linked to). Its not a function of fdm. What printer have you got selected ?
RE: Hollowing
Prusa i3 MK3S
RE: Hollowing
It's only for resin printers, not for the MK3S.
RE: Hollowing
You can add a resin printer, do all the actions you want (hollowing, adding supports, ...) and export to a new STL. Switch to MK3 and import the new STL and you're all set.

Wow, what an easy way to do tree supports for your filament printer that people have been saying they want. Is this a new feature?

RE: Hollowing
No Sylvia, its been available to do that since they added support for the SL1. The problem is that Prusa don't view the supports generated for resin as suitable for FDM. In many cases they are correct. However in some cases even the 'non optimal' supports are ok to be used.
It comes down to Swiss's point that the software is actually capable of quite a lot if you explore it enough and learn how to use it. Even in non standard ways 🙂 I can see Prusa's side of things though, they need it to just work, for even the casual user, and so until they can get to a point where they are confident of function X working the majority of the time then they wont 'support' it until then.
