Help With Multipart Print

I have printed multipart prints just fine in the past. For some reason, this model is giving me trouble. I am printing oversized Switch controller buttons for a Halloween costume and the model is not being recognized as a multipart model in PrusaSlicer. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

In the attached 3MF file, PrusaSlicer is not prompting me to import as a multipart file like it normally does. I thought this was from updating to 2.8.1. It was not. I went back a few versions and the same thing happens. I did confirm I'm still able to import previous multipart files just fine.

I have tried to add a Manufacturing Model to the design to see if that would help. It looks like I had several of the models outside of the printable area when exporting to 3MF from the design tab, which may have been an issue, but it's still placing the white part of my X button on the plater instead of on top of the button where I want it.

Does anyone have any pointers to share on what I could try here I'm at a loss.

RE: Help With Multipart Print

All attachments except images have to be ZIPPED up.  The forum only accepts a very few file types otherwise it silently just doesn't attach them.

I don't use fusion personally so that would be of limited use to me  but there are members here who do.  Please also be aware that a Fusion generated .3mf file is NOT the same as a .3mf file saved from Prusa Slicer (using File>Save Project As).  The container is the same but the data stored inside is much different.

If your bodies are separate objects then they will drop to the plater on loading.  PS requires that all separate bodies touch the plater.  This is a long standing frustration for some people but makes sense from a printing view.  As an object requires some contact to be printable.  You can merge the objects in PS afterwards and then move the individual Parts around however you like as long as some Part touches.
Not as convenient as exporting them that way from your design software though.

If I take the same sketch and keep the exported objects within a smaller print volume, PrusaSlicer prompts for a multi part object. I have never seen this before, but at least I have a workaround for now. Does anyone else have insight?
