Fuzzy Skin & Vase mode
Fuzzy skin is a nice little addition to prusa slicer 2.4 but I just thought of a nice use for it on some plat pots for my daughter and it turns out you can't use it in vase mode? I would have thought primarily aesthetic modifiers like this would be very popular in vase mode, is there any way to get this working?
RE:
I did a fuzzy skin with vase mode back in September and it sliced and printed just fine. Why don't you zip up and attach your .3mf and describe what issue you are getting in more detail?

RE:
The problem is that the way modifiers work is that in effect they split the model up into separate parts as far as the slicing engine is concerned. As vase mode only works for a single solid object as soon as you apply a modifier then its no longer a valid object for vase. Unless your modifier covers the entire object then its not split.
RE: Fuzzy Skin & Vase mode
This is exactly what's happening, I only wanted the fuzzy at the top of the pot as I have a nice geometric pattern going on for most of it, if I apply a height modifier and put the fuzzy skin on that it warns me I can only print one object in vase mode.

Officially, It isn't supported, but a long time ago I discovered a trick to do colour change in spiral mode and I wondered if it would work with fuzzy skin. It does!
I took an existing project and modified it so the the top of the second object sliced with fuzzy skin. Vase(spiral) mode has an interesting feature. PrusaSlicer looks at the first object to be printed and determines "validity". If it is valid, then it will slice subsequent objects with different colour, or in this case fuzzy skin. I don't think it will ever be supported and I sure hope it is never broken.
So short answer is no, but by exploiting an undocumented feature...
Try this:
Create another object and make sure it is first one listed in the right panel. It can be either a item you want, or what I use is small sacrificial ring about 2MM in diameter and less than .1MM high so that it is too short to slice, but tall enough to be valid.
I added a cylinder modifier and adjusted it to where I wanted the modified layers.
There are 2 extruders in sample because the project I modified to see if it worked used 2 colours.
If you have any questions, ask here or PM me.

PS:
The first object cannot have modifiers. Plain vanilla.

Use a Negative volume to create the fuzzy skin at the top where you like. Or anywhere on your vase mode print for that matter.
Good luck have fun

P.S. you'll need slicer 2.4.0
