for support enforces only - not behaving as expected
Please see attached two screenshots (both combined inside the one attached screenshot)
not sure why supports go all the way down to the print bed - I had wanted them to only start midway up the print
Is this something I am doing wrong?
I tried to add a blocker under the enforcer, but that did not work.
Any ideas?

I'm surprised those other features didn't need support.
Select the part and manipulate it till you can see the underside of the SD slot then select Paint-on supports. I think the radiused edges and the shallow feature were part of the reason the slicer was not giving you what you want. I know that chamfers are not as pretty as radius corners but they certainly simplify 3d printing.

updated photo to show original as well
RE: for support enforces only - not behaving as expected
Slicers will often build the support tower from the build plate and not the surface below what's supported. This should not be an issue in most cases. Just be sure that you are using the support parameters for break-away supports and not the defaults for soluble supports.
RE: for support enforces only - not behaving as expected
Thanks. I just added the support enforcements and didn't fiddle with any other settings - was there one that would have made a difference?

Try using paint-on enforcers, just a narrow strip (you can set brush size). Post your STL, but note that you need to zip it up.
RE: for support enforces only - not behaving as expected
Yes, actually I had tried that first. Same somewhat unexpected results; support goes all the way down to the base.

Post your STL

ok thanks - you can get the .stl file as well as the .fd3 file used to create it here:

Sorry I misposted, I meant
Post your .3MF project file.
RE: for support enforces only - not behaving as expected
No problem.
Attached in a zip file are the .3mf and .stl files.
In this case, I painted on the support and even tried to put a blocker in.
Same results if I just used a block for the enforcer with or without the blocker.

@rob-latour
Don't know if this is what you were looking for, I've supported the sd slot, the oblong hole and the hanging roof.
RE: for support enforces only - not behaving as expected
Only the SD slot needs support, the other two (the oblong hole and the hanging roof) print fine without supports.
Would you mind sharing how you accomplished what you did? It's not apparent to me.
Thanks

Got it.
Thank you so much.
I guess I was too roughly painting the underside of the top of the SD slot.
Following your suggestion, when I zoomed in quite a bit, and painted it with a circle having a brush size of 0.4 (the smallest possible) it worked like a charm.
Again, with thanks, Rob
