Filament profiles for custom MK3S Profile
I've made a model with a text in the first layer. I need a filament change just for this text. So I've took the original system preset for my MK3S+ and changed three things:
In General:
- Extruders: 2
- Single Extruder Multi Material: yes
In Custom G-code
- Tool change G-code: M600

After I save this new user preset, the filament list ist empty. What am i doing wrong?

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you're asking, but...
- Your picture shows a Printer Settings preset with 2 extruders. You select the actual filament presets associated with each extruder in the Plater tab in PrusaSlicer.
- You need to have filament presets created and saved in Filament Settings (or select existing filament presets).
- If you want to save everything together in one file, use File->Save Project. This will create a 3MF project file that contains your STL(s), layout, and print, filament, and printer presets in one file.
If you create and save a new printer preset, you may find that the default filament profiles are no longer available. This is because of the dependencies Prusa uses in their filament profiles. Select a standards Prusa printer preset to make all of the filament options available, then select and detach the filament preset to remove the dependencies:
I've got some notes on how to detach filament profiles so you can use them with any printer preset here.
To save everything, create a 3MF project file. To use Prusa filament presets with a custom printer preset, detach it to remove dependencies.

RE: Thanks for the quick reply, so I was able to solve it.
Only I see some disadvantages there, please correct me if this is not correct:
- I will have to redo this for every project in the future.
- If there are updates for the filament profile (e.g. Prusament PLA), my detached profile would not be up to date.
I think it would be better if my printer profile would continue to work like the original profile. After all, it originated from the original and it is still the same unchanged printer.
Can I change the printer profile so that it works the same as the original and thus all original (also future) filament profiles work? I understand the point behind it, to bind the profiles to certain printers. But my printer is unchanged.
