Feature request - line drawing tool for painting seam enforcers

It would be nice if there was a way to paint seam enforcers more accurately by selecting a line tool after choosing the brush type and size and then clicking a start point and an end point.  The current method of freehand painting makes it very difficult to get straight seams.  If done correctly one could create seams that look much like a mold separation line.

RE:

Same here. If you don't mind I'll post your request on Github (devs don't look at the forum that often).

@fushsr a. you beat me to it   b. I didn't know a ticket was already pending.

I don't know if this will help you but there was a post made that explained a way to do this, https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/pro-tips-the-brush-tool-by-swiss_cheese/ it was mostly ignored, or as the OP put it, hijacked. I think the intention was to add to it, if interest prevailed, it seams to have died. I believe the author's intention was to see if folks were interested enough to further their education. It appears he became disappointed, based on the comments I read in the post.

It probably would have looked something like this if it went a different way. But I can't say how this was done, probably using some form of the method shown in that post.

I have a question for the OP, If you knew you could learn how to do this tomorrow in 2.3 and 2.4, but knew that it wouldn't work with the seam algorithm of 2.5, no matter what you did, would you use the knowledge? or would you wait with the hope that Prusa would some day years from now give you the ability to do this?

I'm on 2.5.  I upgraded to 2.5 for the new features it provides.  Why would I go back to 2.3 or 2.4 and lose those features?  I'm not sure what you are trying to get at with your question.

I wasn't trying to get at anything, was just curious.

Thanks
