Extrusion Multiplier modifier

Hello, is it possible to add "extrusion multilplier" modifier area to printed object?

Best Answer by JoanTabb:

Hi Wojciech<
If the area you want to change is at the top of the model,  say your model is 30mm tall and you want the last 10mm to be slightly bigger

you could add an

M221 S105

Command when the Z height exceeds 20mm to increase the flow rate from that point on
this will have the similar effect to increasing the Extrusion modifier

regards Joan

@joantabb

Hi Joan, i need to thicken the walls of a printed object by about 0.1 mm (i have only STL) to make it fit better with another part. I get good results with increased extrusion multiplier, problem is, that i don't want to apply this modification to entire object, only a part of it. So naturally, i've looked into modifier shapes, but i don't see extrusion multiplier as an available modifier parameter.

Regards,

Wojtek

I would recommend to learn and use a STL editor to make the changes. All3DP has a list of free versions and some guide to using them: 7 Free STL Editors: How to Edit & Repair STL Files

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

Hi, ok, that is probably the right way to do it. Still, i wonder why extrusion multiplier is not available for applying with modifier shapes in Prusa Slicer?
