Defining small feature extrude path?

I have a mesh-like surface of small circular openings, and the way PS currently defines the path is to draw the circles and smear some infills in between. Because the features are small, this causes havoc and a lot of potential failures on first layer. Is there a way to change the way the slicer determines the path, and reduce the number of retractions and starts?

Could you save the project as a project file, in Prusa Slicer  (File>Save Project as>) then zip compress the resultant .3mf file, and attach the zip   file to your next post? Please
