Custom Printer Profile and the Filament List

I added a custom printer profile for my RostockMAX v4 to the newest version of PrusaSlicer.  When it is selected as the current printer I cannot see any filament options when I click on the list.

- If I create a new filament entry while using my new printer profile I can select it (makes sense)
- If I switch to the MK3S printer profile I can select the newly created filament option... (doesn't make sense seeing as the new printer profile CAN'T do this)
- Why is this working one direction but not the other?
-When on my MK3S printer profile (when I can see ALL of my added filament but all of the stock filament choices too) I have set my custom filament profiles to be available for all printers...doesn't seem to work
-My MK3S profile is a copied default MK3S profile that I have tweaked a tad

My question is, how do I get my new printer profile to be able to see all of my custom filament options AND the list of filaments that are built into PrusaSlicer by default?

Thanks!

-Ted

Figured it out!  May be kinda hack-ish but I opened the .ini file for my Rostock and added this:

inherits = Original Prusa i3 MK3S

Like I said, it might be hacky, BUT it gives me access to the list of filaments so I can least use those as jumping off points for my own custom tweaked versions of things.

Please read https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/prusa-2-2-0-does-not-show-filaments-tab-in-configuration-assistant/

and yes making your custom printer inherit and be part of the prusa vendor space is the quick and dirty way of getting access to all the filaments.

If you look in that thread I've put together a de-restricted list of all the filaments that can be imported in using import config.

Thanks for the reply neophyl!  I didn't realize you could use "detach from system preset."  This will do exactly what I need!  I do hope that this gets smoother in the future.  As of now if someone starts off with a 3rd party printer profile they don't have a way to handle filaments.  There almost needs to be a "add filament" wizard or something that you can add yourself, just like the add printer wizard.

Thanks!
