Bug with filament profiles

Hello, I believe I have discovered a bug.  I hope this is the correct place to report it.

I have a filament profile named "TL-D3 Pro DUAL MODE PLA Filament Settings."

I modified bed temp, extruder temp, filament type, and fan settings and looked at the sliced gcode file after each.  The appropriate gcode is changed with each.

I can then save the modified profile, naming it "TL-D3 Pro DUAL MODE ABS Filament Settings."  Once I do, further changes of any of those settings are completely ignored.  For instance, if I set bed temp to 80*, it shows 80* within the UI, but when sliced, bed temp is actually 65*, which is what it was set at in the original profile.

In fact, further changes of any of these settings are no longer recognized by Prusaslicer.  What should be the "Slice now" button in the Plater tab remains "Export gcode," indicating that the software has literally not seen any changes and therefore does not think that slicing is necessary.

Possibly this isn't a bug, but, for the life of me, I don't see why this could possibly be considered logical / intentional behavior.

I can reliably duplicate the behavior if needed.

Thank you for your time.

RE: Bug with filament profiles

Hiya.  The forum is not the place to report bugs, that place is the Prusa Slicer github located https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues

Before opening a new issue please do a search of both open AND closed issues using as many key words as possible to avoid duplicates.  Given there are over 2000 open issues and 5000+ closed ones currently its quite likely one already exists.

When opening a new issue please make use of the template as all the requested information will be needed if the devs are to be able to reproduce it on their machines.  Its much harder to fix something if it cant be duplicated.  So all the basic info like a saved zipped up project file from PS , your operating system details etc.

Of course the forum here can also be used to try and track down issues before the github step is taken.  Many 'bugs' are the result of configuration problems or lack of understanding on how the software works.  Not saying that's the case here but it often is.

Can I ask if your setup is a single or multi-extruder configuration ?

In fact it would probably help if you could attach a zipped up 3mf project file and attach it here (just like you would have to on a github issue) as that may provide clues as to what is happening, as well as your step by step list to reproduce.

further changes of any of those settings are completely ignored.

Just to exclude some trivial operator error, make sure you exit the field you've entered the new data in before saving or slicing, or it won't take the new value. This has bitten me a few times when I thought I'd saved some modifications and couldn't figure out why it hadn't happened.

Yes, I am aware of that quirk and this is not that.  I can change all those settings and they all revert back to the original profile once saved.  For the error to even occur I would, by default, have to switch out of at least one of those fields.

Thank you.  I wasn't sure where the correct place was.  I will post it on the Github.  (I've never used Github, so I guess I'll have to figure that out first.)  And yes, this is a Tenlog TL-D3 Pro IDEX printer.

I wonder what the max length of filament profile name is?
