Adhesion Issues

Neptune 2s

No issues with a ton of prints with Cura. Everything is level and clean 60/210 temps as I use in Cura. Trying to use PrusaSlicer as am having issues with adhesion and I honestly have only tried this one. In the images above you can see the right corner not printing on top of it self like the rest of it. I have printed many items successfully in between my attempts with Prusa. Any suggestions?

This is what will not print correctly with Cura. The supports that are supposed to hold all the object together when looking at the preview there is clear separation and would never work. In Prusa it actually looks like it will work if I can get the above figured out.

Thanks!

RE: Adhesion Issues

We cant help with the information provided.  Yes looks like you don't have bed adhesion, great.  Unfortunately we cant connect your pictures to anything in the software.

This is why we ask that you save a Prusa Slicer project file and attach it here.  Use File>Save Project As to save a PS 3mf file.  The 3mf will contain ALL your settings as well as the model and any modifiers etc you may be using.  Its a snapshot of the slice so allows anyone to slice it with exactly the same settings and look at the previews and check the hundreds of settings for anything that looks off.

To attach it here though you MUST zip the file up.  The forum is very restricted on the file types it allows to be attached.  If you dont ti will just silently not attach it, no warning.  It just wont be there.  So please check after posting that it actually is there.  As the edit time is also VERY short then you need to do this pretty much immediately.

New to this forum so I GREATLY appreciate your response. Please let me know if the zip file doesnt work. It has the gcode and 3mf.

RE: Adhesion Issues

All of the actual print settings look ok.  If adhesion is off people sometimes lower their first layer speed but i regularly have mine set to 30 like you so thats not really a problem.

The one thing I did note that is off is your printer configuration.  Your start gcode block has M83 ; extruder set to relative mode.  If you are doing that (which is normal for something like a MK3 printer and lots of others) then you ALSO need to set Printer Settings>General>Advanced>Use Relative E distances to =ticked too AND add in
;BEFORE_LAYER_CHANGE
G92 E0.0
;[layer_z]
to the Before Layer Change g-code field in Custom G-c0de section.  That will reset on each layer and stop accumulated rounding errors.

If you don't your extruder will be badly over extruding, which could be the cause of your problems.

Oh also on your filament profile if you fill in the density (for PLA its generally 1.24) thenyou will also get the weight used output when sliced.

Greatly appreciate it.

I received a config from another user so that is what I was going off. Anyway you can provide yours?

In Prusa, in the Printer Settings Tab, Inside Custom G-code you will see the Start G-Code box.

RE: Adhesion Issues

While extremally (to me) stupid I printed 2 4 hour each rubix cube holders for the kids with Cura. Did try with Prusa and didnt get past the rim like prior. I am in no way saying 1 is better then the other as if that was true I wouldnt even be here. I hate being stuck with 1 option when there are many other that are equal or better.
