BETA-TESTING

FEEDBACK
To properly manage your feedback and ideas, we have set up a private forum topic.
Link to the forum:
https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaprinters-not-public-f371/
You will need your Prusa shop login details. And I will need to know your username to enable the access to the private topic for you. (Hopefully, I will find all of you in the database, if not, I will contact you individually)

There are two main categories Bugs & Errors and General discussion & User Experience & Ideas. Test the website and whenever you will find something ‘supernatural’ when testing the sites, or just some bugs, go to those categories, create a new issue and report it.
I will do my best to be a great moderator. I promise not to leave any issue behind, no comment without an answer and no praise without delight.

LOGIN TO PRUSAPRINTERS
Go to https://beta.prusaprinters.org/ . The beta testing page is password protected:

user: i3
password: mk3

Then create an account or log in with your Prusa shop account. That it is, you are in. Feel free to fill up your profile.
Please use your account as it would already be V1 release. We will use the same database when launching. So by publishing poor incomplete prints, you will not help us either yourself. I mean, do not upload “test” prints, send “test” comments etc.

WORK IN PROGRESS
Since it is BETA - work in progress - there are several bugs we already know about and we are fixing them, as well as several issues which will be prepared for the V1 release. The list of these unfinished tasks is in the forum:
https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/introductions-instructions-f373/list-of-existing-issues-work-in-progress-t26249
Please check them first before getting started and duplicating some the issues:)

LIMITATIONS & EXCLUSIVITY
There is no limitation from our side. You do not even have to own any of Prusa machines. You can upload just 3D model file and someone else will upload a gcode for you later.

Have you signed exclusivity with someone else? Share then just only what you can. We want to find a way how to make a win-win for everyone. We do not want to become a direct competitor to model paid platforms. We are not building a paid models database, we want to create a social network of Prusa printer users and help the beginners to 3D print by providing them directly with free gcodes. But yes, some tensed situation may occur. However, beta-testing is about to find the right way as well and avoid a war:). And this is also a task for you, so please speak up, tell us your preferences.
It can work and generate traffic both ways. You can have just one gcode for MK3 on Prusaprinters and a link targeting the authentic paid stl somewhere else. We can set up a program when we will be supplying Prusament to active designers on a regular basis. There are many opened options.

BETA-TESTING TARGET
What do we want to achieve by the beta-testing?
We want to gather user experience feedback. The website is a kind of an experiment. We want to verify whether our expectations meet the reality or whether it is not working at all.
We would like you to help is even with the vision - what features you would like to have there to get better use?
We need to get rid of errors. Most of the bugs are already fixed. However, there might still be a specific constellation of events leading to a dead end.
You can always bring an idea for a possible improvement to the table. More brains generate more ideas.
We need to start filling the database with awesome files, so the website is not that empty when launching V 1.0.

REWARD
We would like to appreciate your contribution by giving you some of our "experimental" Prusament spools. The colors, that are not on the eshop (yet) or will not ever be, so they exist only in several pieces. Personal wishes will be solved individually.

TOP SECRET - NOT
If you have a friend who might be interested in taking part in this beta-testing project, please invite him! We just do not want to go fully public yet, as it is a beta, but spreading the info on individual-request-basis is totally fine. We need feedback for as many files as possible.

DATES
There is no date of the final release. All the changes will be done over time. And when they are done, the website will be ready. We expect to release it in February...but you know…;)

BE IN TOUCH
The majority of the communication is expected to happen on the forum under well-organized topics, so everyone can see and easily find what he is looking for. In case of need, you can always contact me on [email protected].

Thank you! Have fun! I am looking forward to the experience!

Re: BETA-TESTING

Hi Dominik,
I was able to log in to this forum with my standard Prusa account info, but hte same accoutninfo is not workign for me in the PrusaPrinters login screen. I used i3/mk3 as you said below to access the PrusaPrinters site and that works fine. Once I am on that site, I try to login and I get an error telling me that the "Inserted Credentials are Invalid"

The URL of the page where this is happening to me is: https://auth.beta.prusaprinters.org/login/?next=/o/authorize/%3Fclient_id%3D6WC21kwuNYCPpWyLZ7RiPl7u4XZQYj6Ord6BVDAr%26response_type%3Dtoken%26scope%3Dbasic_info%26redirect_uri%3Dhttps%3A//beta.prusaprinters.org/login

Thanks!
