RE: Update...(Kind of)

I wonder how many Core One's Prusa has sold?  Assuming most of the Founders orders are for Core One?  How many people are trying to log in at the same time... (and FWIW I can't even get the product page up right now, not a chance of logging in!)

RE:

All of the Founders Editions are for Core One. (They come with the Prusa-specific control electronics on the toolhead.) And we know that Bondtech pre-sold 1500 of them.

Doesn't seem like it. Everyone is griping on Discord that only the 0.4mm is available. Also, I think you can order the 4 tool setup with the 8 tool dock and fasteners. I might do that and expand it to 6 in the future (I don't really need 8...)

I don't see any option to do that. There were links for ordering additional tools (CHT or regular, but they timed out anyway). I did not see further accessory offers, and specifically no hint of extra docks.

"Sorry, coupon ... is not applicable to your cart contents."

I am giving up for now. Oh shoot, I was hoping for a smoother showing from Bondtech than what we got from Prusa. Instead we get:

  • A four-week shipping delay, one week after they explicitly stated "no delay".
  • A self-made DDOS, again, after they had the opportunity to learn at FormNext.
  • A fixed "take it or leave it" nozzle size.
  • A coupon code which first is not sent out, then not accepted.

Do I really want the product?

Thanks! Looks like the web page is evolving... I only got to see the two INDX configurations and the T-shirt, and then two links to extra nozzles once I had selected the 4x INDX configuration. Anyway, I'll check back tonight.

@gb160 is not going to like my "moaning" 🤣  but I'm starting to regret cancelling the U1 pre-order. Sure I might get the hardware (maybe) a month from now but is the firmware going to be ready? Or is this going to be a g-code macro post-processing setup until then? Anyway, it's 8am for me. I'll just wait it out until the dust settles and try to order.

I'm confused about the t-shirt. Thought that was part of the package but they want to charge and additional 99 EUR?

Yes, I was hoping for something cool... At least they did not print a "99€" price tag onto it, it seems.

Honestly I wouldn't  pay 9 euros for that monstrosity 🤣

Im not ordering until they've confirmed you cant select nozzle sizes.

I wasn't expecting everything to be smooth, but this is a bit of a mess.

At least the disgusting T-shirt is free for me 🤣

Yes, the "we will be using the extra four weeks to work on expanded macros" made me nervous too.

About the T-shirt: You don't have to pay the 99€. You are just supposed to be very happy that a 99€ value is included in your package for free! Never mind it's ugly; it will join the ranks of my old corporate polo shirts and sweatshirts which I wear for gardening...

My neighbours would ridicule at me if I wore that thing in the garden.

RE: Update...(Kind of)

Maybe it's Bondtech's way of managing demand: Make the T-shirt ugly and the nozzle choice unattractive.
