Core 1 INDX conversion document or video

I was hoping that Prusa would have released information regarding the Core 1 conversion process. Anyone know if this is an easy job ?

Doesn't look particularly difficult.
remove the sensor and eventually the side spool holder. Remove the top. Remove the nextruder and his cable tree (annoying due to the many connectors but not difficult in itself) Swap the top bar with the new front frame. Install the new indx tool and cable. Install the tools on the bar. Install the side sensors and cables and ptfe tubes. Install the holders if needed. Remove heating plate, install spacers, reinstall plate with new sensor. Install purge box. Install new top with closing mechanism.

the order may be optimized but this should be pretty much the whole change. A good number of things to change but for someone that built their own core one not too complex I believe. Gonna take some time to make sure everything is installed properly... then calibrate the whole... then get a grasp on the indx slicing

You mean it doesn't magically jump out of the box all Disney Fantasia style and self-install itself?

I'm disappointed.

Why would you interpret the original post this way??

The way I understood it, the OP simply stated that he would have preferred to see the assembly instructions before Prusa took orders, to make an informed purchasing decision. Which is not an unreasonable expectation, but not how Prusa has handled prior launches of kit products, I'm afraid.

I read this as a comment on the unrealistic expectations people too often have (about how something ought to work, or what path a business ought to take, et cetera), not to mention the ways they express their disappointment -- rather than on the specific post.

As to the specific post, I expect once we are closer to the upgrade kits shipping, we'll have more information. (I don't have an order in, but I am equally curious.)

It was convenient to have the build guide available before I received the MK4S -> Core One upgrade kit. Was able to study it and prepare myself. But in that case, the conversion kit had already been out for 6 months.
