Nozzle Crash - New pre assembled Core one L

Hi everyone,

My new Core One L had been printing for a few days. I experienced some warping with ASA, but otherwise, everything was good. I only use Prusament! Last night, I installed the 0.6mm nozzle (having printed the specific tool for it before), and this morning I woke up to what you see in the photos.

I’m trying to figure out if I did something wrong. I made sure to update the nozzle diameter to 0.6mm in the printer’s settings menu as well as in the slicer. It’s pretty 🤮 to have this happen to such a new machine... I’d be very grateful for any hints or advice.

I’m not new to 3D printing; I’ve been running an MK3S since 2021, which prints parts for our workshop and production almost continuously.

It looks like the nozzle retaining screws were not tightened properly allowing the whole nozzle/heater assemble to slide out of the extruder housing!

Hey, thanks for the answer. It was my fault. I didn't fix the nozzle properly... I wish there would be a manual for this in the printer's manual! It's essential that you slightly tighten the nozzle and then move it up and down a little until the screws are snapping in the two nuts...
After all, some ASA was stuck inside the extruder, and I had to disassemble it. Now everything seems to be ok. We use our printer for parts in our workshop, so i needs to be very accurate. Actually, I'm printing some tests.

RE:

Hope Prusa support fixes the issue, be prepared to wait.......... I also came from a problem free dependable Mk3S (Still is), the Core one L prints very well, but it is riddled software issues. And assembly issues seems to be common from factory. I feel like Prusa didn't test this printer at all in the real world, the amount of obvious issue that should have been addressed is long and growing.
