V0 Very Stringy

I am trying out the Prusament V0 PETG. I have dried it overnight in a dehydrator at 65 C, avoid crossing perimeters, temp down to 220, retraction up a little and it is still very stringy.

The fan does seem to blow the strings away from the the hot end, so it is not getting clogged.

Any more suggestions?

Regards,

Mark

Did you try printing a PETG tower?

No, but I am already at the lowest recommended temp.

Regular Prusament PETG does not act like this.

Higher temps make stringing worse. This is nothing like regular Prusament PETG. That works fine with higher temps.

Yeah, Prusa PETG is an interesting beast. it’s interesting to hear that V0 is really even more different…

here’s what I see with regular PETG from Prusa vs Elegoo Rapid PETG (black):

Elegoo Rapid PETG Prusa Ultramarine PETG
it’s interesting how the Prusa is much more temperature sensitive…

it’s one of the reasons I wonder whether a PETG tower might be a good idea for the V0?
