how to print prusa glow in the dark petg

Hey there,

i am trying to print the original prusa glow in the dark petg filament. i use a 0,6mm hardend nozzle and the petg heatbed, but the print alway comes lose :/ i tried a gluestick and raised the heat of the heatbed, but still have issues.

does anyone has experience how to print the material?

thank you in advance

Marco

i‘ll try it with dish soap and warm water and i will order something to dry the filament. i need that anyways.

thank you for helping!

My personal favorite for a filament dryer is the Creality Space Pi x4. I like it because it can reach 85° which is important for engineering filaments and it has the best UI screen interface.

What kind of bed are you using? Have you cleaned the bed with dish soap and warm water? Has the filament been dried?

You need to use dish soap and warm water. Also "directly out of a the vacuum bag" doesn't mean it is dry. If you live in a dry environment, example less than 15% relative humidity, you should be OK. Otherwise, you should invest in a filament dryer.

thank you tons.

i tested the whole day. following settings worked with two testprints.

75% speed for the first two layers, afterwards 90%

95C temp of the heatbed

cleaning with dish soap (worked somehow way better than cleaning with alcohol)

once more, thank you! (the dryer is already in the shopping cart and will be ordered begining of june)

Alcohol just thins and spreads the oils around the sheet but doesn't remove them. It's OK for occasional cleaning between prints but dish soap works best. Another option, which is what I use, are BIQU CryoGrip Glacier plates. I never have to clean them and (in the US) they are 1/2 of the price of the Prusa sheets.
