Has anyone settled on decent settings for eSun Matte PLA for the Core One?
Hi guys
I picked up a couple of reels of this stuff, and after printing a prototype in their regular PLA+ which turned out great as usual, I cracked open a matte PLA and got these strange horizontal artifacts, mostly prominently in the curved sections of the print - granted, that's from a sample size of only 2.
(the base should be a featureless cylinder, and is on the PLA+ version and in the slicer)
I now see a fair bit of chatter on redit tweaking settings for this filament. Before I get experimenting thought I'd ask here first if anyone's already got eSun Matte PLA working on their Core One to their satisfaction - and if so, what did you find works best?
My nozzle here is the standard 0.4mm brass, and I'm using the eSun PLA profile that comes with PrusaSlicer.
Thanks,
Geoff

First change I tried was selecting a preset for matte PLA, Eolas PLA matte. Despite the only difference being a tweak in the pressure advance setting, the result couldn't be more different. It looks to be perfect. Going to see how well it goes with the 0.2mm nozzle later just for entertainment, but I think I've found my easy go-to.
