Trouble updating firmware to 6.5.3

Hello,

I've been printing for years with a TAZ6 but recently started with a new Core One. I'm new to Prusa printers and the ecosystem is very different to me. My Core One has the MMU3 unit attached. I am trying to get the firmware updated after an email came out about it. After downloading prusa3d_fw_MMU3_3_0_4_CORE_One_CORE_One+_6_5_3.zip I have loaded my USB drive with the Core One firmware COREONE_COREONE+_6.5.3.bbf and the MMU3 firmware MMU3_FW3.0.4+936.hex. With the drive inserted I turned off the unit and started it again, and it went into the flashing mode.

Now it seems my printer is 6.5.3, but I now get an error "MMU FW UPDATE NEEDED/The MMU firmware version is incompatible with the printer's FW. Update to compatible version". I have two options Restart and Disable MM. When I select Restart the same message comes right back, although sometimes it takes a minute or two. If I Disable MM then it turns it off and the message goes away, but I can't find the option to update the MMU3 firmware.

Can someone guide me through this?

The MMU3 FW is uploaded via a separate cable directly connected to the computer and to the MMU3 unit on its USB input. Find out how to do it here in the MMU3 section of this forum. You can use PrusaSlicer to upload the FW. You can find out how to do it in detail there or in the Prusa knowledge base.
