Generic question about the heater joint

I do have a Core One, this question is not only for Core One users but a generic question.

How is the heater jointed to the connector wires?

I don't think its soldered, I tried that and nothing happened, the solder did not take to the heater or the connector wires.

Does anyone know please?

RE: Generic question about the heater joint

If you look closely at the connectors, you'll find that they are strangely pressed onto the wires! Soldering is not used, because the solder flows between the individual wires of the cable, hardens there and the cable wire breaks off at that point. So warning, don't use soldering, but press with the right tool (this is important)! And when it comes to connecting the heating element wires to the leads or thermistor terminals to the lead wires, these connections are electrically spot welded.

yes, this makes sense now. I have a broken heater wire. | don't have spot welding machine, so I order a heater and a spare and a spare thermistor too.

many thanks
