PEI sheet business model? 😉 Or just a faulty sheet?

Hi all,

I assembled my own prusa over last summer, it gives me great prints even without any VFA, which is great. It is my third Prusa printer after owning a MK3 and a MK4.

Today, after printing around 35 prints in 2 months I can see my pei-sheet that was delivered with my Core One has a lot of small dents.

The are most probably from the nozzle pushing agains the sheet when auto-leveling.

Do you also have this? Or do I have a bad pei-sheet? Will Prusa replace mine under guarantee?  I put some photo's to show, but the dents are tiny so they are hard to find...

Prusa won't replace something due to user error. They consider the build plates to be a consumable item. If you received it from Prusa this way, then they would be under obligation to replace it.

I suspect that your nozzle and heat block assembly are incorrectly inserted into the heatsink. The load cell is sensitive enough that the nozzle shouldn't be plowing into the sheet like this.
