Moving extruder without heating?

Hi, I'm trying to move my extruder without heating the hotend. Even though the printer knows there is no filament loaded (I did an unload immediately beforehand) it refuses to let me move the extruder without preheating and loading something. Under the Control menu, it shows "Low temp" next to "Move E" and clicking on it just jumps to the "Load filament" screen. I don't want to do this, I just want to be able to move the extruder and examine the motion without having all the filament and temperature checks getting in the way. I looked thru the entire menu and wasn't able to discover another way to do this.

In a lot of ways, I really like my Core One, and it's a big step up from my old Creality. But the printer just...gets in the way so darn much. I'd like to see something like an "expert mode" that disables all the sensors and just does what is commanded, for when I'm trying to troubleshoot something with the motion, work thru a clog, etc...the amount of waiting on heating, purging, ramming, etc. etc. gets really frustrating. It was a lot more straightforward with the simpler Marlin firmware...

RE: Moving extruder without heating?

Imagine you have a broken piece of filament just after the filament sensor but between the extruder gear and the idler pulleys. The printer will think the nextruder is empty. Now you move the extruder without heating the hotend and it attempts to jam the cold filament fragment into the nozzle.

Have you tried sending the g-code over the serial port as opposed to the screen UI?
