Is 16T Pulley the cause of VFA? Microscope photos - PRUSA VS POWGE VS TRIANGLE
Seeing that one of the possible causes or reasons for the VGA of the parts printed in CoreOne, and with the similarity that have these VFA correlating with the Pitch of the belt or the pulleys ..... I have taken some microscope pictures of 3 pulleys I had at home.
- Powge
- TriangleLabs
- Prusa
In my opinion, the Prusa ones seem to be the best machined, or at least, where a particular tooth looks cleaner than on other brands.
Unfortunately, the pictures are not taken with a good quality microscope. But I think they can be useful to get a general idea.
IMPORTANT: 7mb png file is attached to this thread. The photos are low resolution, use attached PNG if you want ZOOM IN !!!!!

Thanks for contributing. You do not have some pulleys from Mellow 3D in order, by any chance?
RE:
No, sorry. Mellow is the only one I dont have. I purchased POWGE, as they seems to be better quality than Mellow.
Mellow should be equal or worst to TriangleLabs.....
I am surprised at people who have better VFA with Mellow pulleys.
EDIT:
I will love to see this test with a good microscope.
