Help!! Something went very wrong!!

Help!!

So something happened and all the filament is one big mass all wrapped around the head!!  The print plate was on the floor outside the printer with about half the build in it.

I am thinking I need to take head apart to get everything out .... But I'm not sure where to start to take it apart.   And some of the screws are in the black mass!!!

Suggestions?

(Bonus points for naming whatever scifi horror movie that black blob is from!!!)

You got lucky.

Do you have a hair dryer? If so, turn it on and take everything off one by one as it softens.

You're lucky this is not PC or PA. Cut off as much as you can then soften with a heat gun or hair drier. Once you get closer to the nozzle then heat the nozzle to 230 and start pealing off the remainder.

I only had this happen to me once when I used a V6 nozzle with adapter and didn't torque it down while hot.

I've been lucky so far, but this is the reason I monitor prints on my phone periodically, so I can run to the basement and stop things before they get out of hand!
