Core One Loose Extruder
Hey guys I was just printing a prototype and suddenly noticed that the print head was jumping all over the place. I stopped the print job and even though I have printed as recently as yesterday this has happened. Praying it's simply a loose screw but before I started messing around, I figured I'd ask for advice since someone else may have run into the same issue. No screws or anything laying around inside. thoughts?
(I've attached a video so you can see the problem.)
Thanks in advance!!

Is this a kit build or factory assembled? There are three screws that attach the nextruder heatsink to the linear rail carriage. One or more of them came loose. Start by removing the heatsink fan.

RE: Core One Loose Extruder
Yup! Ihad to tear down that hot end assembly to get to all thise mounting screws…I just don’t understand why they all loosened up like that. I know that they were secure because I assembled the printer myself and this isn’t the first Prusa printer I’ve built. In any case problem solved and thank you for the assist!
RE: Core One Loose Extruder
Makes me wonder if this is something that should be on the PM (periodic maintenance) list, or to at least try to wiggle the head every so often.

I put blue Loctite on mine when I assembled it
RE: Core One Loose Extruder
The blue loctite crossed my mind too. If I see it getting loose again that's exactly what I'll do!

My advice would be to use it now rather than later.
