Heatbed temp changes at start of print

Core One, FW v. 6.4.0

I've been trying out ASA, and I have the heatbed temp set to 100C in PrusaSlicer in the filaments tab, both for first and subsequent layers. I also have the ASA profile on the printer display set to 100C bed temp.

However, as soon as I initiate a print (sliced for 100C bed temp), it changes the temp to 115C until the first layer starts and it drops to 100C.

The rise to 100C is relatively quick, but from 100C to 115C takes some time and I'd rather not have everything wait for it... Is there somewhere I'm missing to set the bed temp that would avoid this behavior?

TIA,

Erik

This setting of the bed temperatures to 115° and dropping to 100° before printing is so that the chamber warms up first! Don't try to get around it! You will pay for it with warped prints!

RE:

You can edit the startup G-code:
{if chamber_minimal_temperature[initial_tool]!=0}M140 S115 ; set bed temp for chamber heating

I usually print smaller ASA or ABS parts where temperature consistency isn't that critical, but don't want to wait. So I remove all the chamber control code and bring it to temperature with an external heater ... 1.2 kW or even 2.4 kW for short time ... which is slightly faster 🙂

Ahhhhh, right! Thank you, It didn't occur to me that it might be part of the chamber logic...

It's not so bad when I'm printing something longer, but I'm trying to dial the first layer temp in better, and I'm printing 0.2mm swatches right now; the wait is irksome, especially while not understanding why the robot wasn't listening to instructions. Thanks for the shove in the right direction!
