Will there be CORE-One-L-heatbed upgrade kit for the CORE One?

What do you all think the chances are of Prusa releasing a heatbed upgrade kit for the CORE One that would mimic the new, solid-aluminum heatbed of the CORE One L, but fit the smaller printer?  I really like the idea of the solid-aluminum heatbed.  That alone is making me consider the CORE One L over the CORE One.  I just wish they offered it in the smaller form factor.

This explains, why they are getting cheaper with replacement parts on the CoreOne.

In 2026 I can see an upgrade path for CoreOne to CoreOneL, spring ?

I don't see how that is possible. The only thing you could carry over in an upgrade is the Nextruder, and maybe the screen.

I assume there is some room here for a Core ONE S - maybe the switchable intake for TPU, the auto vent open/close / tweaked lid,  accelerometer in the tool head (assuming that is just a new Love board that's compatible otherwise), included camera.  Not sure what else.  But the MK4S upgrade was pretty modest so this could be similar.

All this stuff: TPU mods for sensors, auto vent open/close, detachable lid are available through Printables already. The only thing that would entice me to upgrade (and not jump to Bambu or SnapMaker) is the INDX system and enhanced bed. Wish I could have a hotter hot end as well as well as an actively heated chamber.

Oh yeah, I get that.  But it's a bit different when they're packaged and supported by Prusa (which also means supported by their slicer/firmware in a "first class" way, etc).

Most of what the MK4S is was also available as MK4 mods after all.

For all we know an "S" upgrade (maybe they will name it "M" for CORE One M 🙂 ) might be a prerequisite for the INDX for whatever other changes to unify it with the L for simplicity moving forward.

Im not 100% sure but I think the problem is regulation. In many European countries there is a regulation that you have to be qualified to work with mains voltage, which is what the new heatbed is.

This ties in with why there is no kit version available of the Core One L.

RE:

I remember that being a potential issue with the BL A1 and the faulty heat bed cable fiasco.

I don't know what the law actually entails though - I wondered if a completely cohesive unit that just has secure plugs on either end would be legal - as you aren't doing "repairs" or messing with the internal wiring itself.  Obviously no idea if that's a feasible way to attach it.

Of course if that won't fly, it's going to suck if you need a replacement heat bed in the EU.  Ship the entire printer to Czechia?

My hope was that the lack of kit version was just because the kits always lag behind the assembled, and this time they didn't want to advertise it too early... Unless you heard there will definitely be no kit.

Seems reasonable to me. I have a suspicion that part of it could also be the litigious nature of the US.

And to the extreme (and not sure if this is still the case) but once-upon-a-time in my NYC office we were not even allowed to plug and unplug appliances. A "qualified" member of the electrician's union had to be called... You know... in case I injured myself.
