RE: Shipping dates
remain calm buddy …
the (printing) universe will take good care of you! 😌
my order is perfectly on time: ordered Nov. 22nd, arrives tomorrow (southern Germany). So the Prusa folks are doing a great job getting those printers out of the door. 😎

RE: Shipping dates
Wow ! Happy you got it !
FedEx show mine will be delivered on Monday. Was picked up yesterday and I paid for 2-3 day shipping, FedEx must use a different math formula than me. lol
Got mine, was not home, but, kudo's to Fedex they did use a pretty damn safe place to leave it. First testprint finished,
RE: Shipping dates
Hi, just for your information.Ordered on November 22nd, 2024 at 1pm, arrived today.
RE: Shipping dates
Ordered late in the day (Czechia time) on November 20th and received around noon today in Southern California. It was delayed by weather in Memphis TN for a couple of days which was--like much of the US--experiencing a lot of very cold weather that grounded some flights. There was an impact related hole in the side of the shipping box, but no sign of damage within. Setup went very smoothly and my first Benchy print looks flawless. It's definitely a bit noisier than my old Mk3, but I don't think excessively so. It is so much faster than my Mk3 and print quality looks great. I'm not picking up any odd vibrational noises (that stand out to me anyway). If my government worked one tenth as well as this printer, I'd be a very happy person.
Thanks Prusa.
RE: Shipping dates
I asked PRUSA regarding the time table of the CORE One kits, since the time table contains only CORE One Assembled batch# shipping table.
The answer was: "Sorry, but we have no idea, other than we'll start shipping in March."
I suppose that they are still behind the preparation of the Kit Assembly documentation, and they could not start to ship any kit until the assembly process will be defined, finalized and certified.
Assembling a CORE One will be surely more difficult, and they can't risk having customers damage the kit parts for wrong instructions.. 😒
So, lets wait...
RE: Shipping dates
Ordered 11/29 (Batch 3 starts 2/18), have chatted with support several times about shipping. They say it should ship out before batch 4 starts (2/25) which in the Czech Republic is in < 3 hours. Needless to say I have not gotten an email.
Any other place in the world where I send over $1,000 USD and get dog-and-ponied about shipping this much I'd swear I got scammed. The patience required here is much larger than expected.

I ordered on 11/27 and received my shipping notification this morning (around noon Prague time 02/24). I had estimated I'd get the notification today from others ordering and shipping days, so you'll get likely your notification on Wednesday.
But yeah, the whole preorder process sucks with all the uncertainty and lack of info, e.g. the Core One wasn't even mentioned on the shipping info page for months. I wanted to add accessories to my order, but who knows if it'd delay everything. And, after they specifically called out perfect gantry squareness in a YT video, people are reporting out of square gantries. I just hope I get one in good shape and can forget about the preorder experience.
RE: Shipping dates
Thats exactly it. The kits are there and ready to ship, but Prusa will not dispatch them until the assembly guide is ready. That's what they are working on at the moment.

No. The parts are being assembled to fulfill orders. Kits? Do you mean more parts that aren’t being used? Your post is a bit bizarre.

RE: Shipping dates
Not sure what your reply means....but here it is starting day of batch 4 (I am batch 3) and i still have no shipping information. I was told by support that my core one (assembled) would ship on the 24th at the latest, that too was untrue.
I contacted customer service again this morning, they said it should have shipped yesterday but its "still there." Then they asked for my email address so they could email me to let me know what's going on. That in itself is concerning, cause they have all that information.
Seriously, 3 months and $1500 bucks anywhere else is called a scam on the internet. I've obviously been searching for news a lot, and I've come across very similar experiences with every single major printer launch. You'd think they'd have it figured out by now, its only been 10+ years.

It seems entirely plausible to me that the rate at which Prusa can ship new printers is limited by their assembly capacity, not by the availability of parts. I am not sure how specialized their employees are, but there might well be a group who can pack kits but not assemble printers. So kits could be ready to ship even while Prusa is still working on the backlog for "fully assembled" orders.
RE: Shipping dates
aaaaaaaaaaaand just got my email that my label was created. nothing else, but after 3 months of the worst updates ever, this is progress?
***Assembled C1 purchased 11/29/2024 was supposed to be Batch 3 which ended yesterday.
RE: Shipping dates
@jurgen-7 Exactly. This is what I was thinking. May be that now they have enough raw material to assemble many printers, but they should give priority to the assembled printers, and that is the bottleneck, since the CORE One is a totally new device, compared to the MK4, and their employees did not had the time to be trained enough, and so they probably proceed slowly and with mistakes that require supervised rework.
So they probably could start shipping the kits even now, since they have all the parts, but they planned a "buffer" of time, shipping from March 2025 (that may be the last week of march... 😉), to ensure the do not ship too fast all the materials, and then remains without parts before they have assembled and shipped enough assembled printers ordered from Nov/Dec.
RE: Shipping dates
There are quite a few videos around of behind the scenes at Prusa and how they do picking and assembly of parts. Just have a search on youtube for Prusa Tour. They are quite informative and it does seem that they are limited by the number of assemblers they have, which seems to be limited by the amount of space they have. I'm pretty sure I saw a post about them looking to expand as they need more space, but my google-fu is failing me at the moment.
RE: Shipping dates
I fell ya. Expected as much and cancelled my order just days after placing it. None of this should be a surprise.
Brand new product, Eastern Europe, manual assembly, hundreds of parts suppliers, shipping, weather, politics, economies. What could go wrong?
Much more than I could imagine and I just work in the software biz.
Even the big boys under-estimate and are caught with surprises.
I expect I'll place another order and will gladly wait until things smooth out. In the meantime there's enough to keep me busy elsewhere.

RE: Shipping dates
So yet another delay, my priority 2-day shipping must not take into account how many days the "Label created" status will be sitting there.
