MMU3 first or Core One first

I have a MMU3 upgrade for my MK4S, but I still have to mount it on the printer. I've just bought the Core One upgrade kit, but I was wondering if it is better to do the Core One upgrade first and then add the MMU3 kit, or  vice-versa. Can anyone help me?

I don't believe MMU3 has been released for the Core1 yet. I suspect your decision points are
1, do I want to print multi materials urgently...      If yes assemble and fit the MMU3 to the Mk4
2, do I want the Core 1 urgently, if yes Build the Core 1 upgrade   (however core 1 Upgrade may not be released for a while... so maybe use the MMU to keep you occupied in the meantime)
3, get another Mk4 and have the best of both worlds...  🙂

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility.Location Halifax UK

If you need multicolour right now, then refrain from converting the printer just yet until the MMU3 is supported.

If you can get by without for a little while, then go ahead with the Mk4s>CO conversion, and use the new CO single colour for now.

I feel MMU3 functionality will come very soon. As the CO uses the same electronics/nextruder as the MK4s, the MMU3 is actually already compatible. We are just waiting on Prusa to tweak the physical design - ie, how the MMU3 will sit and feed into the Core One etc. The functionality is already there - it's the physical attachment thats being refined......

In addition to what @JoanTabb said, I would add:

4. Purchase a CORE One full kit, and leave your MK4S as it is, and wait to install the MMU.

In few months you will see that PRUSA will announce a special MMU One version, and so can install your MMU3 kit on your MK4S that you will still have.
If they will release only a MMU3 conversion kit for CORE, you could always purchase it and install it with the MMU3 on the new CORE One.

That is what I would have done, and what I have currently done.

Today  I changed my order from the 'MK4S to CORE One'  to a full CORE One kit. I want to keep my perfect MK4S as it is now.

I have done the same in the past on my MK3S+REVO+MMU2 that become the MK3.5S+REVO+MMU3 and I purchase a full MK4 kit.

Printing many parts split on two printers, print faster than on one... 😉
