MK4S -> Core One conversion - reusable parts
Hello everyone,
currently running a MK4S (bought as MK4 kit and upgraded to "S" when the upgrade kit becommed available). My intention is to convert it to a Core One when the kit will become available. BUT since the conversion kit is not quite cheap and since the two machines are quite different one to other, my question is: can anyone put together a list with components that will be reused from MK4S for converting it to Core1?
So far I can imagine the following will be reused:
- heated bed (and existing plates)
- (some of the) steppers
- display
- pulleys
- nextruder
- trapezoid nuts
- threaded rods (?)
- PSU
- electronics
- etc...
So please complete the list 🙂
My concerns are: how tedious will be the disassembling of the old machine to rebuild the new one and how many leftovers will remain?
In other words: should I keep the current printer and convert it or better sell it, buy the CoreOne kit and just build the new machine? I know, it's highly subjective, but what path would you choose?

The exact list of parts (including nuts and bolts) will be available once the upgrade instructions are published. Much like the MK3S+ upgrade to MK4, I waited until the upgrade instructions were published. I saw how much of the MK3S+ would be left over after that upgrade and decided to sell my MK3S+ and buy a MK4 kit. I'm still not sure if that was the right decision for me as my MK3S+ is still sitting in my basement waiting for someone to buy it...
For me, I'll probably just get the MK4S upgrade to CoreONE this round, but I'm waiting for the upgrade instructions to be published before I make the final decision. I'm in no rush as my MK4S continues to function even though the CoreONE has been announced. 😉

Silver PSU is not compatible with the conversion kit. In what regard is it incompatible?

Exactly, where is problem? There is only different wiring, but cables comming out of PSU are same.
Maybe there used seme mounting holes, which are not at silver PSU. :/
