RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?

Bondtech INDX founders edition for the Core One ship Jan 2026. 1200 available, all reserved already. US time zone is not an advantage.

January? Wasn't their estimate "Delivery starts late Q1 2026"? That would mean it's definitely not January, more likely end of March.

Where did you see January mentioned? I recall "Shipping starts in late Q1 2026" and "You can cancel your pre-order until March 15th."

I planned on waiting until it is available for the Core One L.

Same. Don't think it was mentioned about Jan 2026. By end of Q1 2026 was the quoted delivery schedule.

I've managed to pre-order mine, although I'll be a little gutted to try and find a home for my Nextruder......but there will be options I hope 😅

You loose 28 mm out of the 220 mm active print area, plus the 18 mm of negative coordinate space in front of that? That seems like a lot.

I was hoping he meant 28.5 mm total, so only lose about 10mm... Think it was also mentioned that the one they were showing was higher up on the rail than the final version.  So I wonder how much height will be lost / gained compared to the Nextruder.

I'm guessing there'll be YouTube reviews / previews galore before long now.  Hopefully to answer all the questions in time for me to give Prusa/Bondtech my money not too late next year!

They never went into detail, the question came up on 3d Musketeers YouTube stream , and the CEO said 28.5mm.

Its 28.5ish in total on the Y that INDX needs to pick and up drop off tools - so if the C1 has 18 spare at the front it will only take 10.5.

Also you don't have to have tools all the way across the front - so long thin diagonal objects can still be printed using the full Y if one side is left free.

January was a typo, and before I could correct Prusa pages died and somehow I got two entries... AAAAHHH "She's gonna blow captain" Scotty. Now I can't edit it.

Two fundamental questions have not been answered which worries me. 1. Will current Prusa nozzles work? 2. What is max nozzle temp of INDX. Expected pricing was also listed. $499 US for 4 head, $699 for 8 heads. Keeping fingers crossed. For my definition of Q1, see the "release date" definition at the end of the Software rules. https://www.hubbardhobbies.com/software/software.htm

These have been answered already.

Nextruder nozzles will not work.

Max temp right now is 300C+ The final temp will be determined later, perhaps 350 could work.

Shipping is planned to be at the end of March.

From my understanding:

-no, prusa nozzles won't work, INDX nozzles are "near massless" and are heated inductively, which I believe excludes all current prusa nozzles

-iirc somewhere in the hour long video somebody said 300°C

Also that pricing is ONLY for the pre-order, launch price will likely be higher.

RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?

I am not in a hurry this time but I am curious if anyone seen temp ratings? It is kind of curious that the nextruder gets a 400c hot end at the same event INDX shows up which makes me wonder if this is how the two will differentiate themselves next? If INDX handles 300C the nextruder need to do something better or it becomes a paperweight. My use case would be more multi-material than multi color but that only works if the materials are covered.

My only issue with the high temp hotend to the nextruder is that the real approach to print technical filaments is to also rise the chamber temps above 75-80C, which will never happen on the Core One, or even on the L. While I love the idea of the new hotend, for around 250 Eur, the INDX is a much better fit and money well spent than that.

The Nextruder is capable of 400C.  That is the seller for me to update to the Core One +.

Even if INDX will be capable of 320 for example? How many filaments are there that require 320+ degrees but dont need chamber temps above 60?

Besides the obvious temperature considerations, what about ventilation etc. Seems to me some of those things like PEEK probably have advance ventilation/filtration considerations too. Also the higher temps seem like you need to be considering fire suppression etc. All things you might not be able to cram into the core one enclosure very easily.

PPS and it's derivatives. PPA also has better layer adhesion at higher temps but doesn't require a hotter chamber. It's kind of a niche use case really. Everyone else seems to be providing 350+ hot ends. Also, I can imagine a beginner who will most likely never print engineering plastics, do a side-by-side comparison on new printers and think "Prusa doesn't support more than 290C so I'll skip that one"

I want one so I can finally print PPS.

I would love to have a 65-70C chamber so I can (ironically) print some low temp crystalline plastics that are very prone to warping.

RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?

I'm not immediately on the market for INDX, but watching with interest as more info comes out.  Like everyone else, I'm most interested to see what kind of print quality, consistency it's capable of.  I will say that for many of us, the attractiveness  of this system came down to flexibility and cost.  I hope they eventually offer a 2 tool core one kit option for those of us who genuinely don't need 4 colors/materials, and follow that by offering individual tools to be added as needed.  The original goal that Bondtech was shooting for of $250 plus $35 per tool seems to have been a bit optimistic, but with mounting hardware etc, the $50 per tool seems reasonable.  However, why not offer a 2 tool option for $100 lower price, with the freedom to expand from there?  It seems like it would allow them to more easily meet the early production need because many users would only need 2 nozzles, and would likely choose that option to save some up front costs.
