First new nozzle

First, I'm a hack. I print for fun and utility. I make stupid stuff for around the house, and functional parts. I don't sell things, or run a print farm, I just print for myself. My first printer was a MK3s from about 5 years ago. I ran it happily until I decided to upgrade to a Core One. Which I upgraded to a + for no real reason. So I really only know the basics. I have only ever, printed PETG. However I now want to print some stronger parts so I want to try PC-CF or other carbon fiber variants. But I do not want to have to change nozzles all the time. I want a "fire and forget" nozzle. So reading about them here, I decided on either a Diamondback .4 or an Obxidian 500 HF .4 - which I ordered and now own one of each. I finally flipped a coin today as to which I'd try first and went with the DB. Installed it, and printed a benchy. Came out fine. After reading about how the Diamondback needs to have nozzle temps lowered by 5-10 or so, looking at the benchy which I printed at the default .20 structural (not high flow) profile, I am not sure if I need to adjust temps? It looks fine to me.

So I printed a temperature tower, but honestly I don't know what I'm looking for. Seems like there are maybe some bottom layer issues at the bridges with lower temps, and maybe a little stringing at 260, but what am I really looking for here? To me, 245 or 250 look best. I used the Prusament Galaxy Black PETG I had loaded, but am thinking it probably wasn't the best choice due to the "glitter" - maybe I should redo it using plain black or grey? 

Thoughts? Any reason to try the Obxidian? Or leave it alone and print...?

Well, you have the other nozzle anyway so you might as we try it 😉

I have— and like— the Obxidian, although the normal flow type. No need to swap nozzles for any filament type or worry about the nozzle's useful lifetime. 

And yes, 250 looks good to me
