Core One printbed

Just wondering...  For those of us like me thinking of the MK4S -> CoreOne upgrade...  Will the print bed size change?   In other words, will the steel sheets I have work on the CoreOne?  Or will we be on the hook to get all new steel print sheets?

Anyone know?

RE: Core One printbed

According to the Blog post and launch video the Steel Sheets from the MK4(S) will work on the Core One.

RE:

The Core one bed size is 250x220

The MK4S is 250x210

Obviously the Core One has a height difference too, but that doesn't apply here.

It was said in the promo video that the MK4S>Core One conversion would leave users will a full Core One unit without any sacrifices or compromises, so I would say that although your steel sheet from the MK4s will be useable, as the Core One bed is slightly larger it will most likely come with a larger bed and sheet to accommodate. The bed heating element looks to be the same, although it will most likely attach to a re-designed frame to cater for the different Z axis configuration.

Measure your mk4s heat bed and sheet in Y.  You will find there is plenty of room for the extra 10 mm travel.  Same with Z lead screws.  There is more travel the mk4s cannot use because of the Z bearing.   The Core one can use the extra area and Z travel.
