Wire in weird place

Hello,

I was trying to swap my nozzle on my Core One, and it looks like one of the wires is in the wrong spot. It appears to be behind the clip that is supposed to be holding it in place, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to move it. I believe it is the blue and orange one in this picture.

this is what it should look like:

Thanks,

&.

RE: Wire in weird place

You should be able to slide those wires out of the way. Worst case, just disconnect the clips from the board if needed to get enough slack.

Update: I was on with Tech support for about 3 hours trying to explain this through text, Video, and photos (It's not the best way to do that.) So, long story short, the cable is in the wrong location. They are going to send me a new heating nozzle assembly so I can remove the stuck cable. It should be in the holder, not tucked behind the plastic part in my picture. I'm guessing it's a QC issue during assembly. All that being said, the first guy I talked to just wanted to stop talking to me, and the second guy was great.

Yeah, in the first picture it looks like the cables are pinched by being in the wrong place. If they are pinched, I would advise not using your printer until you have the replacement parts from Prusa and have remedied the situation. The issue is if the wires are pinched (and especially if crossed in the pinch point), you might get shorts between the wires because insulation will be compromised in the pinch point.

If you are lucky, there won't be an issue. If you are slightly unlucky the heater wires may become shorted an you blow one of the fuses which you will have to replace. If you are really unlucky the power to the heater may short to one of the thermistor wires and you blow out the thermistor circuit requiring a full board replacement. I don't think this will be a fire risk with all the safety features that Prusa has in hardware and firmware.
