RE:

I managed to completely resolve this head banging by:

  1. Making sure the belts are symmetrically attached to the Nextruder carriage.
  2. I noticed I accidentally used M3X12 instead of M3X18 for the left pulley (kit). I fixed that.
  3. I tensioned both belts simultaneously bit by bit, ensuring there's no play between left and right.

After this the issue is completely gone. The head banging never takes more than 15 sec.

More details here.

holy cr*p this is getting annoying.
cold printer is ok, doing second print keeps banging for minutes on end.
again, loose the belts, square the gantry (again),  use the (and let us be honest crap) sound app and get readings all over the place.
1000 euros for a banging object that is unable to print is a bit excessive.  Could have bought me a djembe....

The new web tuning application is not crap. It's just that a lot of phone by default apply some kind of noise filtering. I had much more success with using an external mic connected to a laptop. It worked super smooth, especially the new advanced plots.
