All kinds of strange sounds while printing.

What could possibly be causing these noises? I started printing this morning with Eryone silk PLA and just a few layers in it started making theses sounds. Printing on a Core One, uptodate firmware, Eryone dual color silk PLA, Diamondback 0.4 nozzle. I had to tweak the temp settings a bit so it would not clog up the nozzle, but it is printing OK now, just the noises.

I uploaded a short clip to my website so you can hear what I mean, I hope someone can tell me what these noises are. (Could it be temp related, the room where the printers is has a 16 degree Celsius room temp.)

Core One strange noises

My first thought was, accidentally loaded wrong firmware, probably "Space Invaders" Arcade game 🙂

Seriously, after listening with headphones: is this the filament in the PTFE tube getting stuck and advancing in burst? This would also explain underextrusion.

The temp shouldn't be much of a problem, it is an enclosed system, especially with PLA. Without seeing the nozzle it is difficult to tell but it sounds like the nozzle is strifing the object and "plucking" it. Does this happens when you print other objects and use other materials?

No problems with ASA and PETG, they print just fine. it is not plucking the object, it looked like it was having trouble extruding, I had to stop the print because there was massive under extrusion. I am now printing a different object and so far so good.

Also, your 90 degree bend is not correctly seated (it needs to go down all the way down over the "Festo" = pneumatic hose adapter).

If the filament is stuck, then the snapping sound could even be the extruder trying to push the filament out and skipping over the stuck material...

could it be that the extruder temp (not the chamber) was too cold?

RE:

Thanks, I will look into that and fix it. I think it was a combination of ambient temp and my filament dryer temp, that caused some moist build-up, condensation,  in the PTFE tube.

After turning on the heat in the room and let everything warm up it is now printing fine.

Thanks everybody for reading and thinking for a cause and solution, problem solved!!!!
