White LED strips on wrong side, nozzle is shadowed by print fan

I wanted to voice my opinion about what I believe to be a design mistake, the placement white LED strip. If you're facing the printer, the LED strip is on the left and aimed towards the build plate. However, between the nozzle and the LED strip is the print fan, that's always casting a shadow on what's being printed. In other words, what you arguably want to see the most (the filament being printed) is what's least visible since it's in a shadow around other well-lit-up areas.
I might be able to move stuff around so that the LED strip is on the right side, so I can see the print nozzle, but the enclosure and its LED strip shouldn't have been designed like this to start with. The default placement of the build-in lighting should be such that it casts a light on the most important part, not casting a shadow on the most important part.

I agree with this assessment. I'm thinking that there will be some sort of issue with shawdow(s) being caused by the filament spool, but I believe that the end result of having the LED strip on the oposite side of the printer would be better overall. Perhaps, someone has directions as to how to make a switch?

I was initially tempted to buy into the official mods to the enclosure, like the LED strip. Still, since Prusa has effectively forgotten the smart box, I don't see a reason at this point not to implement a more effective solution. In fact, dimmable COB lighting and a custom camera solution are probably the best fit.
