RE: Core One L bad VFA's and really bad ghosting

Another thought after the extruder is calibrated, run the phase stepping calibration in the printer menu, supposed to help.

I did that calibration with the prusa support agent it didn't seem to have any affect. Though I will do it again with it on the floor the filament seems to be pretty close to an average of 1.75 fluctuates a little to 1.74 and 1.76 but that could just be me. Will give your cube a go

RE:

The point of the cube is to get the avg wall thickness to 0.45, LxHxW don't matter, the 10mm cal cube is just faster to print and check.  Do you have a pic of the cal cube that measured 0.45 wall with the VFA?  Did you use the 45mm sec I included in the 3mf? Consistent surface is enabled in the filament  "cooling slowdown logic"?

3. Make three or more measurements in the middle of each wall and calculate the overall average thickness.

4. Calculate the extrusion multiplier using the following formula: Extrusion multiplier = (Extrusion width (0.45) / Average measured wall thickness).

5. Adjust the Extrusion Multiplier in Filament Settings → Filament

6. Re-print the cube with new settings and go back to step 3 if necessary.

i have been on with Prusa support again (after failing to reply by the deadline they set again...) spent the last 3 hours or so with them doing more test prints, making them send files with straight flat edges for the VFAs to actually show on ... and they are still at a loss. however its possible i might have bad motors the state "it could be a cause" not great for a machine a week old. am waiting yet again for a email that may or may not be sent ..
