Hey guys,

I wanted to print this TPU part with BVOH and PLA as support but I have a few problems.

As you can see in the picture, the soluble interface is not working on the TPU part at the bottom of the organic support structure. Do I miss something in the support menu? When I change to grid for example it works, the BVOH will be printed on top of the TPU underneath the support structure before the PLA starts as second support material.

Also, I have a bit of a problem with the wipe tower. The TPU printed on PLA is no problem, but the PLA doesn´t stick on the TPU so the wipe tower is getting a real mess during printing and some crash occurs. Is it possible to do 2 separate wipe towers for each material?

Yeah organic support doesn't have a bottom interface layer.  Due to its tall nature its not something prusa makes it have.  Does not make any difference what value you have for that setting when using organic.

Hi,

as someone who did a lot of PETG/PLA Prints where I use the "other" Filament as an Interface layer I would suggest the following:
- This only works great with either "regular snug" supports or Organic supports on the buildplate. Just as Neophyl said.
- I think with that model you could pull both off. Either use a modifier on that part of the model and use "regular" supports or make the supports only happen on the Build plate. IMHO the latter is better. (but uses more Material)
- To make them stick good enough I reccon you print the PLA a little hotter than usual. This might lead to some stringing and make it a little bit droopy, but this shouldn't be a big problem. also don't use too thin layers.
