Poor top and bottom layer quality
Hey,
I have a problem on the Prusa XL with the top and bottom layer. As you can see I have these lines with gaps in between. When I want to print it with a different colored infill, you can see the infill from the outside. I am printing with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.4mm layer hight. Even when I reduced the layer height to 0.2mm it just gets slightly better. When I put my model on the side, it even get´s worse.
The print turns out exactly like shown in the PrusaSlicer
I asume that the problem is not about the calibration, but the printer settings in the slicer.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Explained here:

Alternatively, you can try ironing the top surfaces, but that will only improve things if the plateaus themselves are relatively flat. Some filaments hide layer lines much better than others, also an option in some cases.
RE: Poor top and bottom layer quality
It looks like the layers are to thick. I would think a .20 layer would work. I believe you can adjust the width of the extrusion as well in Prusa slicer.
RE: Poor top and bottom layer quality
As others said probably an issue of layer height vs horizontal resolution required. 0.4 is too high anyway for a 0.4 mm nozzle. Ideally you'd stick to 80% of nozzle width. You may have to reduce layer height even more.
More concrete advice will require you to upload a zip compressed 3md project file so we can see the model and your settings.
