XL Filament Jam Detector
On a few occasions my filament was knotted on the roll preventing filament from unwinding. As a result the extruder kept spinning but filament stopped flowing leaving my print head floating in space inches above my unfinished part.
I expected the XL could detect filament movement but digging deeper I see only sensors that detect the presence of filament; do I have this correct? Am I missing something?
Is it possible to connect something like this Orthus Filament Monitor to the board to pause/stop the machine if it detects that filament has stopped moving? At a minimum I could "hook it up" to a Pi to send me an alert or something.
Anyone other ideas? Am I missing anything?
Thanks, eric

Stuck filament detection was introduced in firmware 6.0.0: https://blog.prusa3d.com/major-firmware-release-6-0-0-prusaslicer-2-7-4-and-prusa-connect-updates-summary_95627/
I don't know yet if and how well it works though.
But they say for your scenario it won't work: "Please keep in mind that the system detects only what happens inside the Nextruder, so, for example, if you have a tangled spool, it’s not possible to detect it as the tension is outside the Nextruder."
