Tool changer clamps very loose
So I find that I'm getting alot of tool changer crashes. Today I was printing a colored benchy, and watched it during a tool change. It dropped off the first tool fine. But when it went to pick up the next I noticed the clamp bars moved while the head moved, so when it went to pick up they were out of place causing the jam. Am I missing something, like an adjustment to tighten them a bit? Not sure what to do.

Look along the row of docked heads from the side - are they exactly in line?
If a dock is not screwed home by as little as a millimetre it can cause docking and picking problems, even dropped toolheads.

Did you ever solve this problem? I’m having the same issue, it’s not related to the docks themselves (like some of the replies suggested) but like you the sliding clamps have become so loose that they move around during travel on change and crash face on into the pins. Is there a way to tighten the sliding clamps?

The 2 carrying pins at the cheese board are spring loaded by rubber o-rings. Without this there is backlash. Those o-rings may have become brittle or flattened over time. The pins must be able to move axially.
It is not too difficult to disassemble in order to have a look. When I got my 5-head XL more than a year ago, I had the opposite problem at one toolhead. It was too tight. I found a video on yt showing the disassembly. Unfortunately, I can not find it right now.
Please do not forget to ever so slightly grease the tiny bolt at the carrying pins from time to time.
