Prusa Advanced Filtration System Control
I have a Sumo Enclosure and have been using the Prusa Advanced Filtration System with the Prusa Basic Board.
Now with the release of the Prusa XL Enclosure and the firmware update, the printer is able to control this filtration system directly.
My question is that I'm looking to now to control the Advanced Filtration System with the printer, but not having the Prusa enclosure I'm looking for guidance on how to do this.
From looking over the XL enclosure install instructions ( https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/3-printer-upgrade_668674) step 21 shows a XL Enclosure Splitter which looks to me to be just a hub to make it easy to disconnect the wires if you remove the top of the enclosure.
If this is the case I think I can just plug directly into the board on the XL as shown in Step 40.
Anyone got input here?

I've got the Prusa enclosure, and I looked the splitter board over during the install. It looked like you described, just a disconnect point for the fan cable. The mating connector on the XL looks to have the expected fan signals:

Thanks, this is great. I'm going to attempt to plug directly into the printer and I'll post my results.
This could be a benefit for those of us that either don't like the prusa enclosure or are using a different enclosure. This this will open up the possibility to just buy the Prusa filtration system and use it.
The main reason I used it was because I have other printers that are using the original prusa enclosure with the filtration system and I wanted everything to be the same on my XL so that I didn't have to buy multiple kinds of filters etc.

I can confirm this works. I plugged directly into the printer and the fan is working and being controlled by the printer now.
There are a few advantages of having it plugged directly into the printer. First of that the fan is turned on and off by the printer including the ability to continue to run the fan after the print has completed. I was doing this before, but with the use of a smart plug, which was more cumbersome because I had to set a timer to shut it off. Now that all happens automatically.
Another benefit is that the hours in between filter changes is tracked.
The last thing is that I can control the fan speed now. Previously it was just on or off.

A way to get temp sense and control for the enclosure? Doesn’t look like anything official though.

I believe so. Based on the options in the enclosure menu I believe in the future you'll be able to add a temperature sensor and use that temperature to control functions. Maybe a vent fan to limit temperature, or possibly even set a minimum chamber temp before starting your print. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I noticed today when looking thru the enclosure settings while printing that the enclosure temperature is working(aka it was displaying a temperature). This means that the printer must already have a temperature sensor on it somewhere. I displayed it on the footer and it is indeed working.
So I guess I'm not entirely sure what that ambient plug might be used for.

I remember reading somewhere, that the toolhead might have a temperature sensor built in, not sure though.

This is what I bought for the blower and filter. I redesigned the housing and duct to recirculate the air back into the top of the enclosure.

I was recently shown this, which looks to be the same thing, but 1/2 the cost.
Here are some pictures of it installed. The only thing I modified is that I spilt the wires going to the blower and added a plug so that I could unplug the filter blower when I take the top off the enclosure.

What is not working:
- let the FAN ON during 10mn after the print. I activate the option but the FAN stops at the end of the print. Any idea?

Make sure you've got the most recent firmware. Mine was not working after the print prior to this update either.

i'm already with the latest firmware. (6.2.5)

Also, we don't have the enclodure temp in prusa connect : see picture below, temp stays at zero.
It would be cool to use the temp of other extruser or maybe a dedicated probe we can buy on prusa site. But as the prusa XL has no heater, it doesn't seem to be ine the release plan ;(

forget my previous post. After a couple of minutes, the temp enclosure seems to work.
It's probably base on the temp of the other head.
What is strange is that it's start at 0°C (and i don't leave in finland i promise)
What could be the behaviour when you use all your heads to print? I will see that later

I think it uses the active print head, which would explain the zero because when it heats up there is no active print head, but let us know your findings.

I also have the Sumo enclosure and had the fan plugged directly into the buddy board. This worked well until I needed to remove the top. I bought the splitter, the enclosure fan cable and the led cable so I could disconnect easily, including the camera. I modified a pi zero case to hold the splitter and I will have a setup that works the same as the Prusa enclosure with an easy to disconnect for the top of the sumo enclosure. Once I have everything in place I will post pictures for the splitter.
