Filament run-out problem
On my recent print the filament in use ran out and the printer sat for several hours chirping. When I got home I was able to unload the old filament tail and insert the new spool. The extruder would not accept the new filament and there were no options on the screen. I tried removing and reinserting the new filament with no luck. The display showed the first filament sensor activity. The filament was reaching the puller gear as viewed with the gate open.
I had to do a full reset to get it working. Lost the partial work on the platter.
Any ideas on what would cause this and how to solve this problem?
