RE: Uneven/wavy walls. Caused by belts on idlers?
Yes, on the MK3S+ in x- or y one can observe the same pattern. That is exactly the tooth pitch of both gt2 belts. At a core-xy it is at an angle of 45 degrees instead.
RE: Uneven/wavy walls. Caused by belts on idlers?
Lately I have discovered something that might help. I was printing with perimeters first. I was testing without printing perimeters first. Printing without perimeters first seem to give me a better outer finish and even better no skipped extruding spots on prints. I am on my 3rd 8 hour + print printing without perimeters first. This was how I printed my enclosure and they were all perfect prints.

So are you printing infill, inner then outer?
RE:
This is from the online guide. I am doing the inverse. I haven't seen any dimensional issues. I printed my entire enclosure this way. I believe this was the default when I received my printer. Inside perimeter first also pretty much eliminated the seams on the outside. you might also want to add a extra perimeter thickness for larger prints.
"External perimeters first
Perimeters will be printed from the outermost to the innermost ones instead of in the inverse order.
This parameter may help with dimensional accuracy since the outer perimeter is laid down first and any extra filament extruded when printing following perimeters is pressed back away from the outer wall. On the other hand, the surface may be slightly less smooth."

RE: Uneven/wavy walls. Caused by belts on idlers?
Looking at the belt paths all the smooth idlers have the belt smooth side to them except these, where the teeth are against the smooth face. I believe this is the cause of the ripples I see. It’s the same as the Bambu X1C printers. Why can’t this be a toothed idler?
RE: Uneven/wavy walls. Caused by belts on idlers?
Good question. Since it it the same on the MK3S which has been out in the wild for years, perhaps you can find in that forum area posts telling the experience from users who have changed their idlers (x or/and y) into toothed ones. I have not looked for this topic so far.
