Side sensor collets
I am not too familiar with bowden parts so I ask the community for advice (do not want to sit on the phone for that long for this simple question.)
I need to replace a couple of the collets on my side sensor (yes I got a bit to aggressive and pushed them out and damaged them putting them back in.)
Are these special collets? or just regular ones?
Thanks
RE: Side sensor collets
To clarify - you are looking for this part - right?
RE: Side sensor collets
That is my problem. Yes it look like that but it is not for the hot end. I require ones for the side sensor and well I hate to assume they are the same? I assume they are the same though, just the online ones at amazon have a clip. Not sure if that makes a difference. If I require ones like your link has I do not see them on amazon.
thanks
RE: Side sensor collets
They're likely standard Bowden collets, but it's best to check the diameter and compatibility with your printer. Most 3D printer suppliers carry replacements.

RE: Side sensor collets
Did you figure this out? I have a similar problem. The extra hotend collets I had for E3D are bigger and don't really fit the side sensor.
RE: Side sensor collets
No I did not. I just squeezed them in the best I could. I ordered some that look like they might work but we had a postal strike (Canada) and well it is in the mail (somewhere)
