Exchange of extruders layer by layer

Hello!
I need to print the core-shell structure. In other words, I need the printer to print the first and last layer in a different material than the core. In slicer, I am only able to create the core-shell shape so that the outer layers (perimeters) are of a different material than the core. Do you know how to possibly modify the G-code to make the first and last layer print from the same material as the outer layers (perimeters)?

Thank you all for the help!
Katerina

You could use a height range modifier to change extruder for the first and last layer

If you want the whole shell - top bottom and sides - to be of the same material and the core different then you must design two parts, the outer shape and the inner core, import them together and allocate a different extruder to each. This is better done in CAD than the slicer.

Cheerio,
