Screwed Insert Pulled out During SHipping--How to fix
Ran into some difficulty with my XL build. Apparently the part on the back plate of the printer that holds the flexible plastic cable tray for the heat plate wiring broke off during shipping. When it broke, it pulled out one of the threaded metal insert for the screw holding the part to the backplate. Thought about a nut but As it is near impossible to get behind all the stuff ( Cable runs, electronics and power supply--not sure which exactly) on the back of the backplate and then not even knowing if there is enough room for a nut, Prusa is suggesting epoxying in the insert and then screwing a new part in. Thought about using JB weld.Has anyone tried anything like this? Any other suggestions?
