Orange "Prusa Tool Changer" Tool crashed - new never used XL
Hi, i cant be the only one with this issue, just built the XL, ive not gotten fully past calibration as yet... once i calibrate the tool change (which works), then when i manually set it load / unload tools it will crash at between 1 - 10 times.
At Prusa support request i did a factory reset and re-loaded the firmware, again the tool changer passed, then on z clibraiton missed collecting the head as it didnt lotch it. I am sure this is an X/Y calibration problem. The sound app is a real bad idea (way to much noise in here) but the right side is way lower in freuqnacy thean the left so i am guessing the belts are not equal.
In my limited understand, i think the X is out, after 5-10 tool changes in a row (manually) you hear the head is not quiet in the correct positon as it locks the head, picks i up, then when i switch and it moves to the next one, crash, and the fact it seems to get to the tool means i THINK its the X access. So which side is that? (the left? as that is super tight, way higher frequency).
I did read about trying to adjust them, but then it goes out about how it will shut the head over, support arnt sure and have gone to speak with tech then email me i reall need to get this working and if its just a belt tension thing well i clearly need to understand it, anyone have any ideas?
Accounts have already had me explore sending it back, ive been burned on the 6 months to fix, would of been cheaper buying a known working brand kinda thing, so under the gun abit.

UDPATE, turns out those latches are a known issue, some arrived, after anodizing the friction pin holes were too small so the pins would not touch the silver latch = no friction... they are sending a new part and pins
Many Thanks

We may have worked out the issue, the Tool Changer Upper Lock has the metal silver sliding bar, this is way too loose, so loose that as it moved around the bed with no tool its starting to move to the locked position, so when it arrives at the tool its unable to latch in to the tool, and so crashes (we have a video of this).
There is supposed to be friction pads and a spring, however they do nothing (as shown in the video).
